Welcome to Typerighter ("Typerighter," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Typerighter's websites, applications, APIs, integrations, browser extensions, educational tools, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

4. Description of Services

Typerighter provides AI-assisted writing, editing, collaboration, authorship analysis, writing authenticity evaluation, citation assistance, educational workflows, and related productivity features.

Features may evolve over time, and we may modify, discontinue, or limit functionality at any time.

We do not guarantee that any feature will remain available indefinitely.

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit, upload, write, or generate using the Services ("User Content"), subject to rights granted in these Terms.

5.2 License to Typerighter

You grant Typerighter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, and display User Content solely as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services;
  • Operate platform functionality;
  • Support collaboration and sharing features;
  • Improve product reliability and safety;
  • Conduct analytics and troubleshooting; and
  • Comply with legal obligations.

5.3 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for User Content and for ensuring that you have all rights necessary to use and submit it.

You represent and warrant that your User Content:

  • Does not violate applicable law;
  • Does not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Does not contain malicious code;
  • Does not violate academic integrity policies where applicable; and
  • Does not violate these Terms.

6. AI Features and Generated Content

Typerighter may provide AI-generated suggestions, edits, summaries, citations, classifications, authenticity assessments, and other automated outputs.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or incorrect citations;
  • Automated analyses may not always be accurate or definitive;
  • AI outputs should be independently reviewed before reliance;
  • Typerighter does not guarantee originality, accuracy, or fitness for a specific purpose;
  • AI-generated suggestions may resemble content generated for other users.

You are responsible for evaluating and verifying any output generated through the Services.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services unlawfully;
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law;
  • Interfere with platform operations or security;
  • Upload malware or harmful code;
  • Circumvent access restrictions or rate limits;
  • Use automated systems to scrape or overload the Services;
  • Misrepresent authorship, identity, or affiliations;
  • Use the Services to violate academic, institutional, or professional policies;
  • Generate or distribute unlawful, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing content;
  • Use the Services to develop competing products through unauthorized extraction or replication.

We reserve the right to investigate and take action regarding violations, including suspension or termination.

8. Academic and Institutional Use

Typerighter may be used in educational and institutional settings.

Users are responsible for complying with:

  • Institutional policies;
  • Academic integrity requirements;
  • Classroom rules;
  • Professional or licensing standards; and
  • Applicable laws and regulations.

Typerighter does not guarantee that use of AI-assisted tools complies with a specific institution's policies.

Institutions administering accounts may have additional rights or controls under separate agreements.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The Services, including software, interfaces, branding, design, documentation, and related materials, are owned by Typerighter or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not:

  • Copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Services;
  • Use Typerighter trademarks without permission;
  • Remove proprietary notices;
  • Access the Services for competitive benchmarking or replication purposes.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party platforms, including learning management systems, cloud storage providers, authentication providers, APIs, and productivity tools.

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Typerighter is not responsible for third-party services, content, or availability.

11. Payment and Subscriptions

Certain features may require payment or subscription.

By purchasing a subscription or paid feature, you agree:

  • To provide valid payment information;
  • That fees may recur unless canceled;
  • That taxes may apply;
  • That pricing may change with reasonable notice.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Fees are non-refundable;
  • Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled; and
  • You may cancel future renewals through your account settings.

Additional commercial terms may apply to enterprise or institutional agreements.

12. Beta Features

We may offer beta, preview, experimental, or early-access features.

These features:

  • May be incomplete or unstable;
  • May change significantly;
  • May be discontinued at any time; and
  • Are provided "as is" without warranties.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Your use creates legal, security, or operational risk;
  • Required by law;
  • Necessary to protect users, systems, or platform integrity.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Services ends immediately;
  • Certain data may remain retained as permitted by law or operational necessity;
  • Relevant sections of these Terms survive termination.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TYPERIGHTER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

  • MERCHANTABILITY;
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE;
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT;
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF OUTPUT;
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability;
  • Error-free operation;
  • Security against all threats;
  • Accuracy of AI-generated output;
  • Compliance with institutional or regulatory requirements.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TYPERIGHTER AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES;
  • LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL;
  • RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUT OR ANALYTICS;
  • SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR SECURITY INCIDENTS.

IN NO EVENT SHALL TYPERIGHTER'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  • THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TYPERIGHTER IN THE PREVIOUS TWELVE MONTHS; OR
  • ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Typerighter and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Services;
  • Your User Content;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of law or third-party rights.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

18. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, email, or other reasonable means.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Typerighter regarding the Services.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.
